A Warm Welcome Back to Seattle

Hello. As you can tell from the title of today’s blog entry, it is safe to say that I made it to my destination of SEATTLE, WA; best known for rain, coffee, Microsoft, Starbucks, Boeing, the Space Needle, Jimi Hendrix, and grunge music. OH! And most recently, legal marijuana (which I have yet to consume). I have been here for the last 8 days now, and I must say that the experience so far has been nothing short of a warm welcome.

First, I would like to briefly illustrate what it took to get here. When I first began this blog, one year ago, I was living in Bremerton, WA, which is right across the water from Seattle city. Shortly after I was married in 2016, my husband made it clear that he wanted to travel and make his way to Washington to reconnect with his long-missed family. I was eager to take upon the journey with him. We found ourselves in quite a few places before we made it to Washington, and those tales will be told at a later time; Anyway, we both ended up landing an awesome opportunity to be apart of the opening team for a newly-built Corner Bakery Café location. Being apart of such an experience was definitely character building for the both of us. He was the cook, and I was the catering specialist. Sweet, right? I know. <3

Well, about 6 months later, my time had ended here in Washington, and I took off solo-dolo to Atlanta, Ga, where I like to say was the true birthplace of my Vlogging career. I discovered a lot about myself in Atlanta, but it wasn’t even a year before I decided that Seattle was the place that I wanted to settle, establish my career, and raise a family. Let’s not fail to mention that dear hubby joined me in Atlanta about 3 weeks after I had arrived. So when it was time to go, we picked up and left….  So here I am!

I spent about 6 weeks apart from my husband as he arrived in Seattle alone to prepare for my later arrival. In that time, I really took the opportunity to work on my all-around self. So when I actually got to Seattle, I was very excited to see my partner. In just one week of being back in Seattle, I ran into an old classmate from Memphis, TN. I got to see plenty of my own family at my brother’s boxing match (Yes, I have family here too; Yes, my brother is a boxer). In just one week, I have already had 3 GREAT job offers, and I am currently waiting on the best yet. Wish me luck!

In first week being here in Seattle, I completed my Biology class, coming out with a B+! I’m so proud of that achievement, you all just do not know how far I have come. This was literally my 5th time taking college level biology. Other than that, not much has happened here. I’ve just taken in each moment of every day as a blessing from God. My mind has been elevated with the hills of Seattle, so that I can explore the rest of my life like a real champ. I have plans to buy my winter jacket from The North Face, as well as a rain jacket from Columbia…

I am so happy to be here, and I am going to make sure to keep up with both my written blog as well as my youtube channel so that you all can continue to follow me on this journey…

RIGHT NOW, I am headed to board the Harbor Cruise tour, thanks to my husband gifting me with a CityPASS booklet. Yes, I’m vlogging the experience so don’t forget to subscribe to MY YOUTUBE CHANNEL!
